SOS Title: Adoption Coordinator

Teeka joined SOS in 2025 as an Adoption Coordinator after following the organization on social media for years. After seeing a friend adopt through SOS back in 2017 or 2018, she continued to admire the work from afar and knew it would be a great fit when she started looking into volunteer opportunities of her own.

Growing up with dogs, including a rescue pup, Teeka saw firsthand how life-changing adoption can be. Later, adopting her own dog Bondi in 2017 only strengthened her desire to help more scruffs find safe, loving homes. Bondi sadly passed away in early 2025 after a brave battle with cancer, but Teeka knows she would be proud of the work SOS does every day to support rescue dogs and the people who love them.

As an Adoption Coordinator, Teeka loves being part of each dog’s journey toward their forever home and helping adopters through such an exciting chapter.

Outside of SOS, she enjoys cycling, golfing, and travelling whenever she gets the chance.

Fun fact: Teeka grew up in both England and South Africa and was named after an elephant.
