Jenna Bye
Executive Director
JENNA joined SOS in 2014 as our social media guru. As the community has grown, so has Jenna’s role. What started as using her voice through social media to support dogs has led to her current role as Executive Director. Which is basically a fancy way of saying she does A. LOT. of work both behind the scenes and in front of the screen (if you’ve never seen Jenna’s face, do you even follow SOS??) to educate and advocate for dogs and humans.
Robyn Cross, RVT
Veterinary Care Advisor
ROBYN joined SOS in 2015 as a transport volunteer, which led to her becoming a key member of the vetting team. She found SOS through a wonderful group of women known as the Crazy Dog Ladies, who mentioned SOS was looking for volunteers and the rest is history.

MICKE was adopted by the Bye family in 2014. After looking for a home in the Dominican for a year, local rescue Moringa's Mission was able to find a flight parent for him to try out adoption in Canada. His initial adoption didn't work out, and he ended up in the Bye family home. And he never left. He joined the fam when SOS was just getting started, and quickly became our poster boy.

LAURA is the one who kicked this whole dang thing right off! She got involved with dog rescue back in 2013 as a foster for another rescue. But you know how natural-born leaders are, the next thing she knew she was (micro)managing a lot of it and couldn’t turn it off.
