Shannon joined SOS in 2025 as an Adoption Coordinator after discovering the organization through social media, along with a recommendation from a friend who already volunteered.

She has always loved dogs and previously fostered and adopted through another rescue, so joining the adoption team felt like a natural next step. Shannon was drawn to how thoughtful and detailed SOS is in its process. While she knows she cannot adopt every dog herself, helping them find the right home feels just as rewarding.

Outside of SOS, Shannon enjoys spending time with her rescue pup Maple, reading fiction, and watching football.

Fun fact: She is fluent in ASL and once went sailing with Prince William and Kate.
