Kristina joined SOS in 2025 as a Scruff Counsellor after first finding the organization on social media. Around that time, she and her wife had just decided to try fostering, even though Kristina had never had a dog before. It ended up completely changing her life.

They now share their home with their quirky rescue pup, Bella, who has taken her role as best friend and foster sibling very seriously. Fostering opened Kristina’s eyes to how impactful rescue can be, and she loves helping adopters experience that same feeling.

When she’s not supporting future dog families, Kristina is usually hiking with Bella, getting into a new cozy hobby, or reading. She reads about 75 books a year.

Fun fact: Kristina used to be a competitive figure skater.
