Kelly joined SOS in 2025 as an Adoption Coordinator, but her connection to the organization started back in 2018 when she first discovered them on social media.

What stood out to her was the sense of community. SOS is not just about rescuing dogs. It is also about advocacy, education, and supporting both dogs and humans well beyond adoption day. That approach is what inspired her to get involved.

Kelly has been active in rescue since 2019 and has taken on roles including foster coordinator, adoption coordinator, and adoption team lead. She loves getting to know each dog and having honest conversations with adopters to help create strong matches. Being part of a dog’s journey to their forever home is something she never gets tired of.

Outside of SOS, Kelly spends time with her senior pup Toby, goes to concerts, especially rock shows, and enjoys baking anything chocolate.

Fun fact: She is Portuguese, was born in France before moving to Canada, and French was her first language.
