Meet Maca, the fluffiest little ray of sunshine from Mexico now living her best life in Toronto! This sweet, bubbly pup has stolen the hearts of everyone she meets with her happy-go-lucky attitude and endless tail wags. Whether she’s cuddling up for a nap, making new friends in the building, or showing off her playful side with kids and other pups, Maca brings pure joy wherever she goes.
She’s a quick learner—crate and potty training were a breeze—and she’s working hard on her leash skills (though she’s always up for a little adventure if a bird or bunny crosses her path!). Maca is super affectionate, loves a good challenge (puzzles and scent games are her jam), and thrives on both structured walks and snuggly downtime.
Her ideal day? Hanging out with her humans, going for hikes, playing with toys, and getting lots of love. She’s got a bit of puppy sass and energy, so she’d do best with a family who’s ready to keep her mind and body busy. She’s great with respectful kids, dog-savvy cats, and other playful pups who can match her bouncy spirit.

Maca will be a special guest at our upcoming adoption event on Sunday, July 6th in Toronto! Come meet her between 11am and 1pm at Left Field Brewery in Leslieville (36 Wagstaff Drive) and see if she might be the right scruff for you! Please note that we will not be processing adoption applications for her until after the event. Also of note: This is event is only open to SOS dogs - please leave your own scruffs at home!
