Nicole joined Save Our Scruff in 2016 as a foster. When she eventually foster failed, she continued to stay involved by taking on increasing responsibility as a Foster Counsellor and eventually co-managed the Scruff Team before joining the Board of Directors in 2022. 

Nicole came to SOS with a deep love for dogs and a natural instinct for leadership, both of which she puts to use in her board role and in her professional life in a senior position in the insurance industry. With two SOS alumni at home,  Bridgette and Happy, she has a personal stake in the work SOS does every day.

When she's not contributing to the board, Nicole can be found reading, baking, or cottaging. She believes every dog deserves to be truly understood, and that finding the right match between a dog and a family is both a skill and a responsibility.
