Female | 6 years old | 43 pounds | Medium energy | Good second dog | Hasn’t met kids or cats | From Ontario | Fostered in St. Catharines | Absolute sweetheart | Shy & growing in confidence
Who loves meal time, so much so that she’ll do a joyful jig, and maybe even a play bow or two?! It’s JULIET! We love to see it, especially from this shy gal.
Very sweet and very gentle, JULIET has been growing more confident day by day in her foster family’s care. With some practice, she’s become comfortable using her crate independently. Sure, she’s still getting used to things, but give it a bit more time and we think she might show more interest in play! As it stands, her foster dog sister is showing her, well, how to be a dog. Seeing her draw confidence from another scruff is huge and we think JULIET will make a great second dog. So, not only is she looking for a human leader but potentially a scruff pal to show her the ropes as well.
If there was one thing we thought you should know about JULIET, it’s her love for walks. Exercise has been a great way to get her fitness in and during these moments, she trots like the confident gal she’s growing into. While she tends to keep calm and walk on, she also shows a light interest in other dogs she passes. Her recall is good, meaning she responds to her name being called and will head your way. Keep in mind she’s curious on all the goings-on though and still tends to startle if something catches her off guard.
There’s a few other things this scruff is a fan of that she’d like you to know! For one, her Kong (and quality food at mealtimes of course!). Another would be receiving pats from her humans. Oh, and don’t forget that she’s more than happy to steal treasures (socks, mostly) when you’re not looking. So keep an eye out!
