SOPHIE came to Save Our Scruff in 2021 as an Alumni Admin. She brought with her a lifelong passion for rescue that dates all the way back to birth when her parents had three rescue dogs. For an only child, each of the dogs that came into her family over the years were like her siblings. And it wasn’t just dogs! They’d care for injured squirrels, birds, groundhogs…you name it. Soon after joining SOS, Sophie realized that what she really wanted to be doing was helping scruffs find their furever homes, so in 2022 she moved into the Adoption Coordinator role. Now, she is proud to support a passionate crew of Adoption Coordinators as Team Lead.

Outside of Save Our Scruff, you can find Sophie spending as much time as possible outside, working on a crossword puzzle, getting lost in a mystery novel, watching a Jays game, or doing something musical. Fun fact: Sophie knows American Sign Language.
