Nina joined Save Our Scruff in 2020 after first connecting with the organization as an FTA to her scruff, Miguel. Her experience was so positive that she knew she had to get involved, and she began her journey as an Alumni Counsellor before being promoted to Alumni Manager in 2023.
With a background in marketing and client services, Nina brings over 10 years of experience in building relationships and fostering community connection. She’s especially passionate about the human side of rescue—supporting people as they welcome dogs into their homes and helping them feel confident every step of the way. A strong advocate for rescue work, she believes deeply in the importance of ongoing alumni support and is dedicated to setting both dogs and their humans up for long-term success.
Outside of SOS, Nina is all about dogs (duhhh), tacos, travel, craft beer, and live music. When she’s not busy supporting her alumni community, she’s likely planning her next trip, spending time with family and friends, or heading out on a camping adventure.
