JACKFRUIT. Small in stature but big in personality and puppy love! Entering foster care recently, JACKFRUIT has been busy learning all the ropes of puppyhood and, he’s gaining confidence every day.

Some of his favourite activities right now include sleeping (but only in the shade!), chewing on his toys, and playing fetch. JACKFRUIT has nailed down his sit command and, as he continues to extend his attention span, we think he will pick up everything quickly. For a young boy, he respects boundaries and has even been practicing his recall in the house.

JACKFRUIT prefers to greet human strangers in a very creative approach…army-crawling across the floor! He loves people and is affectionate towards everyone he meets. JACKFRUIT hasn’t met any kids yet directly, so supervised interactions will be needed due to being in the puppy stage! JACKFRUIT has been neutral towards other canine friends, so we think he would do well with another dog going forward, as long as they can tolerate his size and puppy tendencies!

JACKFRUIT has learned to signal when he needs to potty, but we can’t promise perfection every time! In typical puppy fashion, when left alone, he becomes quite vocal about your absence. He is continuing to work on becoming comfortable when he is in his crate (particularly during the day)!

He is still new to leash-walking, preferring to stop for many breaks to look at his surroundings. New environments and condo living have been no problem for this scruff.
