Support through Keeping Families Together is available to Ontario families experiencing temporary challenges that could put their dog's place in the home at risk.
We have periodic openings for applications, which can be limited to SOS alumni or open to the general community. Applications are reviewed by our team on a first-come, first-served basis. We truly wish we were able to support every family who reaches out, but due to limited funding, this is not always possible.
If we’re able to move forward with your application, a member of our team will be in touch to learn more about your situation and explore how we can best support you and your dog through this time.
After Bandit was diagnosed with cancer and a large mass was found in his liver, his family was faced with a large veterinary bill. Through Keeping Families Together, we provided a partial reimbursement to help ease the financial burden and keep Bandit with the family who loves him.
We were able to provide free pet food to one of our SOS alumni, Duvalina, helping their family access the essentials they need to keep their dog happy, healthy, and at home.
