Female | 2 years old | 15 pounds | Medium energy | Hasn’t met kids or cats | Needs proper intros to dogs | From Mexico | Fostered in Mississauga | Affectionate gal who loves her cuddles
VIOLET. A dog who’s as sweet as can be and most affectionate with her trusted humans. Think you might like to meet her? Then let’s chat more about what makes her, well, her!
VIOLET is the kind of scruff that experiences the most peace in a home environment that is less hustle-bustle, and more calm and collected. While she is building confidence each day, she still appreciates living in a space that reflects her quiet tendencies. If she could tell her future adopter one thing, she might very well tell you that she’d rather you be home more often than not. If you work from home or are retired, that’s something she’d love to know.
On any given day, VIOLET enjoys going for a few shorter walks. During such outings, after 20 minutes or so, she finds herself getting tired. Once she’s back at home, that’s when she makes time to relax! Having come to learn her crate is a safe space, you’ll find she uses it to sleep.
VIOLET has slowly started to open up in the care of her foster family and shows more curiosity in her surroundings. She’s developing an interest in playing (squeaky stuffed toys are her fav!) and enjoys sniffing for treats. She’s also interested in chasing squirrels… something to keep in mind if she’s to meet any cats or other small animals.
More interested in meeting smaller dogs lately, VIOLET has greeted them through sniffing. With a slow and steady introduction, she may even enjoy living with another calm dog in the future. Keep in mind that she’s still wary of meeting new adults and children. Extending a little extra patience as she develops her trust in you, as well as others, will be appreciated.
