Dog Rescue Flight Volunteer Opportunities

Flight volunteers are essential to Save Our Scruff, and enable us to bring dogs in from all over the globe. As a flight volunteer, you act as an escort for a rescue dog from one airport to the other. It's a lot easier than it may seem, and SOS is here for you every step of the way! A volunteer from each rescue will be on both ends to make the transport as seamless as possible. All dog costs are covered by us, and all dogs will be traveling with paperwork and necessary vaccinations. All we ask is that you don't get too attached (we know it's hard) and hand over the pup to the SOS volunteer once you land!

If you are traveling to any of these locations or somewhere else where you might even have a connection to a dog rescue and/or volunteers in the area, please let us know! We'd love to have a dog join you on your flight back to Toronto so it can become a Scruff and find the loving home it deserves! The most common airlines we work with are Air Canada, AirTransat, WestJet and Aeromexico.

We often are able to support our International Rescue Partners by sending donations and extra supplies down with Flight Volunteers - is this something you'd be interested in? This would not affect how much baggage you are able to bring personally; we would book anything we send down separately.
