There’s nothing we like more than a good MARGARITA! Like all good margaritas, this one came from the beach in Mexico but she’s adapting very well to her new life here so far. She’s a happy go lucky girl with ears for days and will provide you with lots of entertainment. She’s more on the energetic side and loves to run in the yard with the rest of her pack. She also loves playing fetch! If she gets enough exercise/stimulation she crashes hard and actually loves sleeping in. If she doesn’t get enough exercise she becomes more demanding of attention jumping up and play nipping at either the other dogs in the home or her foster. She’s working on being a bit more chill in these situations but it can be a work in progress for a bouncy, playful pup! She is respectful of boundaries in the home and is learning the word off. She can be crated for up to 6 hours at a time. She was living on the streets in Mexico so has the potential to be a bit of a flight risk but does seem pretty content with her new life of luxury and the fact that she doesn’t have to beg someone for food. Welcome to the good life! She would be fine in the city or the suburbs but will require extra exercise/stimulation if she doesn’t have a backyard to run around in. MARGARITA can be shy with other dogs and new people at first so proper introductions are key. She will bark at men initially but as they get on her level and she’s allowed to approach first she will be in their lap in no time. After a proper introduction with another dog she becomes very playful and may not always pick up on when playtime is over. She’s used to living with a large pack with a range of personalities and gets along with all of them. She has not spent any time with cats or kids but would likely be fine with kids, keeping in mind that she may play nip from time to time.
