Time to meet a sweet senior! UDLA has arrived from Mexico and is ready for her furever! She’s super sweet and easy going and just looking for a few pals to spend her best years with. *cue Golden Girls theme song* UDLA loves being with people but is also fine napping all day home alone but a quick pee break could be nice on lunch. She initially was destructive and whined when home alone but now with boundaries in the home, she has settled in nicely and you'll usually come home to her napping. She'll then turn and look at you and be like "Oh, you left?" But she is also a great companion dog and if you’re retired just like her you guys will get along just fine cause she is an expert cuddler. UDLA is low energy and prefers a few shorts walks during the day. No marathons for her, thank you. If she gets one long walk she’s literally out like a light for the rest of the day. She is very well behaved when she’s with her people and is super affectionate. She is good meeting new people outside on walks but is protective in the home and sometimes lets out a growl. It's better to do a proper intro and even take her for a short walk with your guests and walk in the home together. She has interacted with a few children in public as well and has been fine although we think old kids would be better as she paws heavily for attention and may not understand her strength. She’s not great in the car but does best when laying on the floor near a person. She’s been fine meeting other dogs and is pretty indifferent. We don’t think she would like living with a super high energy dog though cause she’s already lived that life and is now all about straight chills. She'd be better in a quiet home in general with limited guests, as it's much easier being yourself on the couch with your sweats on. She also hasn’t been tested with cats. UDLA is a special girl with a lot of love to give – she’s ready to be your new best friend. We fixed her teeth up when she arrived so she’s good to go! Apply to adopt now!
