MEET ROSIE our 10-year-old chihuahua that is still trying to figure out what way she wants to go in life. This morning she was a fun, energetic, roughing with the big foster dogs kind of girl (preferably tug-of-war) that you have to keep up with and then later she turns full Florida retiree cat that just wants to stare in the sun with her “good side to you”. ROSIE is a total GOOF that is 100% going through a midlife crisis. Well, I guess you could also say she just has “bursts” of energy followed by deep rem naps but like, yah. ROSIE’s fun personality also comes with a few areas that we can help her work with! ROSIE is uncomfortable during initial greetings and if you push her too far she will pre-madonna you with loud barks. Although she looks HELLA cute, picking her up on a first intro is a no-no. ROSIE will warm up to you in her time! Forcing a relationship is not her way of the world, I mean, she doesn’t have Tinder for a reason. She is very friendly with dogs of all sizes after a few sniffs/proper intro. She would make a great second dog. Someone with mixed energy like her! She is 10 years but again, her midlife crisis doesn’t allow her to see anything in the mirror but a young, hot, Victoria Secret model. You feel me? The only thing her age shows in is her cuddling skills. Girl has been working on it for a while and it shows. ROSIE is a fine apartment dog with the right mix of physical activity/stimulation and she also wants us to mention that she HATES the cold. She’d also love a family with a flexible schedule as she can’t walk and play alone… all day! She needs you! ROSIE is working on her boundaries at home build confidence and learn to trust more! She is 95% potty trained but does need a bit more support! She is doing really well for coming to us 2 weeks ago untrained at 10 years! CMON people! She is not cat tested and would be better with older dog savvy kids who can understand her need for space. If ROSIE is the right mix of pooch for you then come on down to the dog is right and put in your application now!
