This is RONI and she’s excited to meet you! She has a super vibrant personality and, not to get like too philosophical or anything, but can totally bring you so much joy in pretty much any circumstance. That’s why dogs were put on this earth right?! She’s very sweet and likes meeting new people but sometimes forgets her best manners amidst all the excitement. She will need reminders to keep all four paws on the ground when meeting new human friends and to not jump up. She’s less likely to jump if people are greeting her at her level instead of hovering over, but it’s a good idea to warn people that she may get a bit jumpy as well. Although she’s super cute and you’ll immediately want to fuss over her with your dog voice, it’s better if meetings have a calmer tone so that she doesn’t get too fired up. RONI is on the higher energy side and does need a decent amount of activity each day. She’s very dog social so would love to have another playful, energetic pup in the home to keep her busy. Some dogs might be a little put off by her energy and approach, but she’s just trying to initiate play and hasn’t had any negative interactions so far. She does like her outdoor time so would do best with someone with a more flexible schedule OR a 9 – 5er who is willing to invest in a regular dog walker or doggy daycare. She has been working on crate training in foster care and is becoming much more comfortable. She will need to work on her leash skills a bit in her furever home. She’s ok in an apartment environment as long as she gets enough exercise. When she has her bursts of energy she needs an outlet (a walk or playtime) but then she’s good to chill around the house. RONI hasn’t been tested with cats but is very excitable around small critters she sees on walks. As long as kids would be ok with her jumping, she would probably make a great family dog!
