Yup, we’d say you’re pretty good looking… meet NICHOLAS! He’s super sweet and although he totally looks like he could be a heartbreaker he’s very sweet and still just trying to figure out the world himself. He’s shy and nervous so is looking for a family who will help him through his uncomfortable teen years by building his confidence with a structured yet positive lifestyle. Patience will be key because we’re not going to lie NICHOLAS is a chewer and your slippers, blanket and papers are not safe. He’s learning to be more comfortable in the crate when people are out of the house which will help protect your things. Yelling at him is NOT a solution as he takes it very personally and immediately cowers. He’ll need lots of toys that he is allowed to chew on as well. Mental stimulation games would also be great like hiding treats and making him find them. He is very affectionate with his people and will follow you around the house. He is generally ok with meeting new people with a proper intro. He has been a little nervous meeting some men and young, rambunctious children are a little much for him. He would be fine with older children who are more chill and can give him some space when he needs it. He doesn’t like to sleep in his crate at night and isn’t shy about letting you know. He can be vocal so a home instead of a condo/apartment would be best for him. NICHOLAS lives with another dog in the home and he seems to enjoy his company and may be a good second dog! A confident yet chill dog in the home could really help show him the ropes. He lives with cats as well and after an adjustment period getting to know them, they are totally fine together! He hasn’t had much of a chance to interact with dogs outdoors but he does bark at them while on leash. He would really benefit from ongoing training and socialization to help bring him out of his shell. If you’d like to meet him fill out an application now!
