Do you believe in magic… Meet HOUDINI! He’s a super happy and affectionate dude who loves playing with his new foster brother until they both pass out from exhaustion. Sometimes he may pass out mid-play but don’t pretend like that’s never happened to you. He would do well with another playful dog in the home to keep him busy but it’s not absolutely necessary as long as he gets enough exercise and social time outside the home. HOUDINI can be a little needy with his people and as a result, has some separation anxiety. He’s been working on this in foster care and a routine that includes crate training has been really helpful so far. Not making a big deal of coming and going is key to keeping him calm. He is also still working on housetraining so crating helps prevent accidents in the home. He’s especially fond of peeing on carpets so if you have some fancy carpeted rooms in your home be sure to block them off. He’s a good size for an apartment and is generally pretty chill in the home. He does bark if he can see other dogs through the window but this shouldn’t be an issue if he’s not on the ground floor. He is very people friendly and even if he’s a bit shy at first he usually warms up pretty quickly with a proper intro. The only time he’s been apprehensive of people is when they’re wearing a hood or a hat because he wants to check out your beautiful face. He prefers to go for a few smaller walks per day instead of one big one and likes to have his kibbles soaked in a bit of water before eating because of #diva. He visited his foster’s work one day and loved it but did get tired quickly because adulting is hard. PREACH HOUDINI. He’s been friendly with kids that he’s met so far but hasn’t been tested with cats. If you’d like to meet HOUDINI fill out an application to adopt now!
