Meet CHANCE! He became an official scruff when his family could no longer care for him and is now looking for a new family to call his own, and trust us you’d be lucky to have him. He’s super sweet and although can be shy initially he bonds very easily to his people, usually with one #1 boo in the home. When his main squeeze leaves he can be a little whiny and will play the shy card but he definitely gets along well with everyone. There is potential that this behaviour can develop into more significant separation anxiety so as awesome as it is to cuddle up with your pup all day long, boundaries are important so that they can develop some independence. CHANCE has a fair amount of energy and there’s nothing he loves more than playing with his ball. Although his ideal home would have a large backyard that he can play in, he could live in an apartment as well as long as he gets enough exercise and the opportunity to chase his ball in a safe area, cause ball is life. His not so ideal home is one where he’s home alone all day because he definitely craves human interaction. When he is alone he is crated as he occasionally would mark in the foster’s home which we hope will stop after his neuter. He only whines for a minute when first put in the crate, and sometimes not at all. He would absolutely LOVE someone to cuddle up with most of the day so if you’re like a professional cuddler or something get at us. #dreamjob He knows his basic commands and is an excellent fetch player. He is very dog social and loves is pup pals. But proper intros are key to setting up the playdate for success. He is cat friendly in his previous home. He also spent some time with kids in our care and we think he would be a good family dog, given his sweet disposition, with monitoring. One of his ears is always standing up like he’s super ready to listen to whatever you have to say. If you’d like to give CHANCE his second chance fill out an application to adopt now!
