Pickles, onions, sauce, lettuce, cheese… meet BIG MAC! He’s a huge goofball and doesn’t really know his size so he’s sometimes tripping over his own feet while walking, especially on the stairs. He has been doing better in a bigger space where he has time for his zoomies when they kick in and would absolutely love a backyard if possible. He is crated when his people are away from the home for longer periods of time as he doesn’t fully understand the difference between HIS chew toys and YOUR personal belongings just yet. He’s on the higher energy side and definitely needs a decent amount of activity. He loves running around at the park but should not be off leash in open areas at all as (his) he recall skills are currently sitting at zero or more realistically, negative 200. Some safer options for him to expend his energy include adventure hikes and running beside his foster while (you skateboard! Sounds like Mac is skating which I am also trying to get him to do!) he skateboards. If you are able to tire MAC out he will be your best couch buddy for the rest of the day. He does whine a bit when he first goes in his crate and doesn’t sleep in there at night but is capable of hanging out there during the day when people aren’t home. He knows some basic commands and he does well on the subway in the city. When meeting new people in the home he tends to bark at them until they take a second to say hello. Once they say hello he’s cool. MAC has spent some time with cats and a ferret and is very playful but currently also cuddles with the ferret during down time! He hasn’t been tested with kids but he does get a little nippy when playing sometimes. His foster has been working on correcting this behaviour and his new fam should continue to enforce similar boundaries for him to thrive. He’s still a pup so he definitely has some things to learn!
