MEET BELO. This guy has had a story and a half to get where he is today, but we are standing alongside Complete K9 Care in finding this guy the home he deserves. BELO is having a fabulous time with his friends in his current foster home scenario, as it is a Board and Train facility that specializes in understanding the needs of dogs. EASY DOES IT. The main reason BELO is having a ball is that he gets to hang with his dog doggy pals! He loves his 12 besties and has a great time wrestling, playing and being out and about with them! One thing they mostly have in common is not their look but their personalities. All of these dogs differ in temperament and personality but all are sociable. BELO doesn’t put up with rude dogs and will correct a dog who’s not putting group needs first. BELO would do awesome in a home with another dog(s) but only if the other dogs are sociable too! Having time to play is great to stimulate him without daily stimulation he gets anxious. So, a tuckered BELO is a happy BELO. BELO will need a commitment from a strong leader as he has the want to do his own thing and needs to know who the enforcer is. If not, he has the potential to walk all over you and knows if you’re faking the “bad cop” card. Providing boundaries like keeping him off the couch and practising commands is great. BELO has had little reason to trust humans in the past, so also working on trust exercises is key to help him open up. Hand feeding is a good example of that. This will continue to open BELO up as he already has been doing with CK9C. BELO has low-threshold of stress because of his anxiousness so working on opening him up, building confidence and trust will help bring about positive behaviour change that will give him more inner peace and chill. BELO would do better in the country as he’s too easily triggered by outside factors that are common in the city. He is great in his crate during the day and would do fine in a home with a full-day work schedule, as long as he gets structured playtime, work with you before and after. If BELO sounds like the dog you’ve been looking to guide to greatness, please apply now!
