They don’t call her DORA THE EXPLORER for nothing. Although she can be a bit shy and nervous at first this girl is an adventurer at heart and loves spending time in the great outdoors. She would do best in a home with people who love exploring just as much as she does and who are willing to continue to introduce her to new things and show her how great life can be. DORA definitely seeks approval from her trusted people and dog pals. In new situations she will almost always look to you to show her it’s ok or take direction from other pups. She was pretty sure she hated car rides until her foster brother showed her how AWESOME they are and then she was all like ‘ya ok they’re cool I GUESS.’ She is great with other dogs but can be a little possessive of her food and where she sleeps. She will growl and possibly jump up at them, although she responds well to correction from her person. DORA is very picky with her dog food and responds best to super smelly treats. Certain foods seem to irritate her so she would do best with freeze dried meat bits and other limited ingredient treats. Pretty picky for someone who used to eat off the streets but whatevs, she’s all about that good life now. She also LOVES people food and will 100% go counter surfing so everything needs to be put away. DORA is great trained and good on leash but will need help with basic commands and maybe housetraining as well when she first arrives in her new home. She is VERY affectionate with humans, but may take a bit longer to warm up to men. She would love at least one lady in the home she can become BFFs with. Girls night 4 eva. DORA has a condition that will require diligent teeth maintenance going forward including regular cleanings. Plus she had a broken tooth that we’re going to leave under our pillow so the tooth fairy bring us some bones. If you’d like to meet DORA fill out an application to adopt
